A Professor of Energy and Environmental Engineering with over eighteen (18) years cognate experience in the energy and academic space. An expert in energy planning and analysis, energy modeling as well as energy policy formulation. In addition, I possess knowledge and experience in project monitoring and Project Life Cycle Assessment. I currently head the Energy Research Centre in the University where I advise the Vice Chancellor on all energy matters in the University.

At the Research Centre, I lead two (2) research groups; the energy modelling research group and the energy efficiency research group. These groups have been in the forefront developing research proposals and wining local and international grants. I serve as the technical lead for  the World Bank Multi-million dollar 3MW Solar hybrid power plant under development in the University. I am involved in research projects on energy generation forecasting from renewables using deep learning techniques and energy planning/modelling tools amongst others. With specialization in Energy and Environmental Engineering, I lead the university team lead for the GEF/UNIDO funded project on Industrial Energy Efficiency and Resource Efficiency Cleaner Production to build capacity of industry technicians as well as developcurriculum for short term courses and graduate courses over the period of four years.

Previously, I was the head, Mechanical Engineering Department where I successfully managed my team to secure full accreditation status for the program and also commenced post graduate degree programmes in the department.

As an academic, I have published in peer reviewed journals and  presented papers at local and International conferences aside winning research grants and supervising undergraduate and post graduate project and research work. Also, I am a reviewer with several journal publishing house and my  articles can be viewed in google scholar and Research gate. I am also visible in Publons. I belong to professional bodies where I mentor young professionals as well as deliver technical papers to enhance technical and professional competence of members. I am a registered Engineer with the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE), a Member of Solar Energy Society of Nigeria, a Member of Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and a Mentor at the Council of Women in Energy and Environmental Leadership (CWEEL).
